    Ripping DVD-Audio

    audigy2eX.jpgLike we said on Monday, DVD-Audio isn't catching on, but if you're a fan of the format and want to listen to DVD-A discs on a computer, you have basically one option, the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 sound card. One big downside of though is that you can't rip the tracks onto your PC, because unlike CDs, DVD-A discs have copy protection built-into them. But now the new and improved Audigy 2 Platinum eX includes an analog-to-digital converter for recording in six channel 24-bit/96Khz audio that sorta makes ripping a DVD-A disc possible. Strong emphasis on the sorta here.
