    T-Mobile's SDA Music Smartphone

sda_music.jpg imageT-Mobile is set to release a music-playing phone in its native Germany that is both terminally uninteresting and also the future of portable music players. Called the 'SDA Music,' it's a run of the mill Windows Mobile 2003 for Smartphones-based candybar, with a tri-band radio and Bluetooth and all that. And to look at the specs, it's pretty worthless as a music player, with 64MB of ROM and 32MB of RAM, although certainly the SD card slot is meant to be used as music storage. So what makes it so special?

It has a play buttons on the front. That's it, really, but if you think about it, it's probably a sign of things to come. Phones aren't going to kill the iPod quite yet, but with a couple gig SD card and a decent interface, there's no reason they shouldn't kill flash players. (Thanks, Jon!)
