The bandage is the brainchild of Louise van der Werff, a Ph.D. student at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. She developed a temperature sensitive fabric that can be weaved into a band-aid or a roll of medical dressing. When you wrap a wound, the dressing will change colors when an infected wound gets warm.
