We're looking for a fast, ambitious, hungry geek who wants to spend their days immersed in writing about the future of information security. The right candidate will be eager to write a lot and contribute daily news stories as well as long-form stories on the topics of hacking, surveillance and data protection. Strong writing skills, a clear and authoritative voice, a thick skin, and a sense of humor are all must-haves. A willingness to take on unusual assignments and step outside one's comfort zone are also requisite.
- Be a fast and authoritative writer, a fountain of strange and wonderful ideas, and eager to learn and take on new challenges.
- Have 2+ years experience in a digital newsroom.
- Have broad-based knowledge of the security beat and be deeply sourced in the security community.
- Be ready to do something original and work in an extremely collaborative environment.
