If you are still using rabbit ears for your TV Viewing, do you also still watch TV on a black and white set? Get with the times people. If you cannot afford cable, then how did you afford the TV? Reply

@Jeremy Hardin: Easy TV is not a monthly fee while cable is same thing with a computer and internet lots have computers but all people with computers don't have internet.

Are you that stuck up and elitist to not realize people can afford a TV by saving maybe a few months on buy a cheap TV for $100 a few years ago and not cable. Reply

@Jeremy Hardin: If you are still commenting with a facebook account, do you still have to be an idiot? Get with the times people. If you can't get a real account, how did you afford to live?

I think there is a flaw in your logic somewhere. Reply

@Jeremy Hardin: Do you actually pay for your cable or do you still live with your parents?

Please, grow up, regardless.

I use an antennae because I refuse to pay $70, or $840 a year (and thats what it is in my area to get anything more than basic... ie what it costs to get anything more than what I can already get for free) a month for what basically amounts to horse****.

I pick up all of the major stations, in HD, for free, and the HD channels look much better OTA then the crap comcast gives their cable subscribers. Couple that with the internet connection and HULU, and I can get all of the programming that I care to watch. Reply

@Jeremy Hardin:
1. cable is a un-needed expense
2. I download everything you watch on cable for free and without commercials and in HD
3. OTAHD is far superior to any cable or DISH HD signal
4. suck it.

@ViperBorg - Facebook is the new AOL.: Four, damn it, four.

Time to get a new keyboard. The "U" key is not working 100% of the time. Reply

@Jeremy Hardin:

Some of us have a 64 inch front projection system from 1974 and are getting some of what you pay for for free via FTA satellite along with things you do not get to see via cable, or satellite, with the rest being made up via streaming media on the internet. All pushed through a HTPC So do not let a high tech TV be a defining point of where people stand during this DTV transition.

@Mac_Pro: I've commented under Facebook and got flamed, then under my *real* with VERY similar wording and nada. People just hate Facebook commenters here just to hate, most are unbiased. They should be flaming Gizmodo if their viewers hate it so much, then turn the damn Facebook option off and make people create a real account, but they don't . Not sure why, seems logical to me. @Jeremy Hardin: I dont have cable, I still use rabit ears...

check it

The only thing I wanted from cable is lots of Anime, the only two chanels that peeks my interest was Cartoon Network and The international channel... but they didnt play Anime nonstop... and not to mention I'd have to buy several packages with stuff I don't even care about... except spike TV that channel is okay... but also I don't make that much money, so juggling phone, phone, internet, and TV service is kinda a pain in the ass for me.

this is how I do it now, I have Verizon DSL (cause I can't get FiOS), I bittorrent any shows I care about that I miss from not having cable, including all the Anime I could ever want. Also I get my pick of any HDTV/SDTV digital programing via my old and crusty rabbit ears (which i might add do a even better job at picking up a digital signal then the cool looking terrestrial HD antenna I was suckered into buying).
