I can live without that kind of speed if Cablevision can improve HD picture quality. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with Cablevision, even if James Dolan is a colossal douchebag.
Question: does anyone with a Linksys Wireless-N Router have problems with connectivity over N?

@OMG! Ponies!: I use Cablevision and have the Linksys Wireless N router. I have no issues. The 3 Dell laptops in my house have the Dell wireless G cards (1390 I believe) but my Macbook Pro has the N. My Wii and HP printer also use the wireless with no issues, but those are G also.

Answer: Exclusively? No. I have problems with B, G, AND N on my Linksys. Connectivity, with any amount of idle time, will occasionally drop. Doesn't matter if you're 2 or 20 feet from the router. Flashing FW to the latest didn't help much (there's an identified problem with Vista and the Speedboost/RangePlus models) and from the forum-hunting I did, you're better off trying to flash one of the open source FW versions and tweaking from there. @OMG! Ponies!: I doubt it's your cable co's fault. I had connectivity issues with my linksys N router and did some looking around and it seems a lot of the linksys N routers had issues. If your hardware is supported you can try open-wrt or dd-wrt, I did and have had a lot better experience with it. I've only had to power cycle it once in the past 2 months as opposed to once a week and sometimes once a day. I recommend dd-wrt, and make sure that not only your model is supported but also your hardware revision is, b/c on some models some hardware revisions are supported and others aren't (different chipsets).
