I am just surprised how many geeks are able to put up with the lack of features and ultra-restrictiveness of the device. After a few days with a jailbroken iPhone I found myself more and more frustrated with how closed and inflexible it felt.
I can understand consumer level users being satisfied with it, but I just don't see how "prosumers" (i.e. the type of person that would be reading a gadget blog) can handle being stuffed into the tiny box that is the iPhone environment.
Winmo is continually bashed, yet it is by far the most open mobile environment, has an insanely large app library, and the most variety of hardware platforms out there.
Anyway, I am not married to any brand or platform, and I look forward to playing with the Pre as well as an Android device that will play nice with ATT.
