I wouldn't listen to this guide much, it is pretty darn horrible and misses a lot of points. Look to Tom's, they just did a run down on GFX cards. Ars usually has some solid input too. But if Tom's guide is GPU's 101, this is the course description.

@Fantasysage: I hear what you're saying, but it is meant to be a sort of course guide, hence the referral to Tom's and others at the end. Jumping into the PC hardware scene can be scary--I'm just trying to cushion it a bit.
