Why are they going with forward swept wings? The advantage of forward swept wings is that your wing root is highly loaded, and is the start of the stall. Control surfaces on a rear swept wing get caught in the wake of the stall.

@wagnerrp: Because these are just pretty pictures to prevent people from falling asleep? Airliners 15 years from now will probably look a lot like today's airliners. Think about how incremental airliner design changes have been from 1994 to 2009. Do we have any reason to believe that the next 15 years will be any different?

@wagnerrp: Maybe finally us poor shlubs who get stuck behind the mid-section emergency exit will have a nice view of the ground. Let the jerks in the front deal with that big sweeping wing getting in the way of the scenery!
