@dc-united: Obviously those edges are not sharp otherwise there'd be a huge warning label on it so the end user doesn't injure him or herself, then try to sue the manufacturer..

@w0ng3r: True but given that this is a humidifier the pipe would most likely be galvanized. Also a cursory glance at the source page shows the pipe detached. It appears to be made of plastic.
