Well, the water pump on the 2.5L Duratec in the Ford Contour was quite easy to change. It was at the front right of the engine bay and ran off a belt which was easily removed. All this was beneficial because for the first few model years, the pumps tended to fail (like clockwork) at 60K miles. IIRC, it was fastened by seven bolts and you only had to remove a cosmetic engine cover to access it.

@Jeb_Hoge: In stark contrast to the waterpump on the 2.5L Ford Taurus circa 1987. Upper left rear of the engine, only reachable from below. Also needed to be replaced frequently. I came to hate that car.

@petersterncan: The air filter clips were a pain in the ASS. I typically only had 2-3 of the four actually clipped. The battery was OK.
