Ah, now this is much better. Small, built-in image stabilization, onboard flash, plus the ability to use tons of awesome old-school lenses for $600? I may not have that cash laying around, but it's tempting.
I tried the EP-1's autofocus in a camera store and thought the claims it was slow were overblown. Certainly at least as good as the point 'n shoots I've tried. Sounds like they tried to improve it on the new model. Reply

@Drizzten: Arg. According to the pictures posted to 4/3 Rumors, there isn't a control dial on the back. That tempers my enthusiasm a bit. [43rumors.com]

@Drizzten: Yeah it seems like an awesome point and shoot. It also seems terrible for anyone who makes photography a hobby and knows what an EV is.

@fort-brag: I can forgive - mostly - the lack of real control dials on point 'n shoots for one reason: pictures taken with them at normal distances result in the whole frame in focus. There just isn't much creative control over depth of field with those things so I don't have much of a need to tinker with the aperture.
Not so with a larger sensor system. Hopefully the zoom in/zoom out buttons in the thumb area can be set up for settings adjustment. Reply
