<![CDATA[ANoel commented on Yahoo Music Shutting Down DRM Servers To Finish Transition to Rhapsody]]> I bought DRM'd music once.
When my son was ten and really into Jazz and starting to get into Rock, to give him a good example of how Blues impacted Rock I fittingly tracked down Muddy Waters' "Fathers and Sons". Furthermore, to demonstrate how to get music legally (Good Dad) I purchased the MP3 from Rhapsody. He loved his newfound world of music!
The next morning after an overnight power/APC failure and losses, we went back to Rhapsody to re-DL the tracks.
Sorry. SOL. They had no record of the transaction. WTF!!
To make a long familiar story short, we biked over to a used CD shop and picked up a copy for $6.oo and ripped it to every piece of music equipment in the house... and NEVER looked back.

It's ok... I still feel the same as you about Rogers except now after they chopped the all-you-can-eat dataplan in half they magnanimously will keep "them" on ice and return them to you after 36 mos. Same applies for the two-year arm and a leg plan. Plus they're throwing a BBQ picnic of all the customers who bailed early - in Toronto this weekend? Ted is piece of work alright.

I have a iPod Touch and love it, but to use that even larger and heavier iPhone form factor as a constant pulling it out cellphone... no. What the Diamond lacks in size is made up for by it's lightness and portability and vivid VGA screen... throw in a QWERTY slider board, the Touch Pro, and Ladies and Gentlemen there is a new ... winner.

It's creative.
I personally advocate using a number of different but integrated varying capacity PMPs and other devices based on the particular use. ie. a nano for biking, a MSI Wind for WiFi bar-hopping, a iPod Touch for subway rides and at home via dmport, a Zune when I want to feel unique in the crowd, and so on and so on...
