I wonder how long before the iPhone gets the features the rest of use on a day-to-day basis.

This is a feature I use all the time on my mobile. I can save photos from sites to my SD card and MMS them to others, or attach them to an email.

Style over substance should be the new Apple slogan.

Kamalot commented on Uncharted Calls Spanish Readers "Huge Nerds" Considering how much trouble some game companies go through in thwir writing to make sure they don't offend anyone (removal of the word "spaz" ring a bell?) I can't understand why anyone would be stupid enough to leave an insulting message in a game... especially an insulting message that breaks the 4th wall and insults the player him/herself!

Kamalot commented on Sony Introduces HDMS-S1D, an 80GB Networked Digital Photo Album Sony has lost their blinkin' mind. This product's anemic features and inflated price tag give the illusion that the PS3 is a good value.

Kamalot commented on Western Digital My Books Go to 2TB I just purchased two (2) of the Western Digital Passport drives for my OQO. Both of them died within 24 hours. Western Digital took more than 2 weeks to reply to my troubleshooting email.

Sorry Western Digital. I used to be a big supporter of yours. Due to your shoddy manufacturing as well as your lackluster support, I'm not buying any more Western Digital drives.

Clean up your act.

Kamalot commented on 60GB PlayStation 3 Re-Discontinued @SchruteBuck: The difference is, there is a TON of downloadable content for the Xbox 360. The PS3's online network is BARREN. Even then, the PS3's hard drive is user-replaceable. It is cheaper to buy your own drive off of new egg and swap it out. All you need is a screwdriver, and it is still covered under warranty. Buying a 120 gig drive 2-3 years from now (if the PS3 ever becomes popular and has good downloadable content), will be much cheaper.

Anyone on the fence about PS3 should buy a used one from one of the many unhappy PS3 owners. The build quality on them is very good, unlike the 360, so getting one used shouldn't be a problem.

Kamalot commented on 60GB PlayStation 3 Re-Discontinued @daftrok: Sorry, that's rampant speculation and flies completely in the face of Sony's actions.

This move confirms that Sony wants the PS3 to be $600. Sure, they COULD eventually drop the price, but instead they are offering a new model with fewer features at the full $600 price. Yes, it has a marginal capacity increase, but I haven't filled up my 20 gig PS3 yet.

Sony has painted themselves into a corner with the PS3, and they seem to be doing everything possible to screw over consumers.

My PS3 is sits unused.

Kamalot commented on 60GB PS3 Not Getting the Axe @Jitty: Actually, Sony has stated that it is not a priority for them to expand upon the software emulation, so if new updates come they will be welcome but don't expect them.

For instance, God of War 2 does not run using software emulation. There are many others, and a large number that Sony claims work still have issues. European executives even suggest that playing without sound is acceptable, and therefore only a 'minor glitch'.

Kamalot commented on 60GB PS3 Not Getting the Axe Sony is more and more of a complete clusterf#&* every day. Their own executives can't tell what's going on.

I'm more and more convinced that Sony's company culture is corrupt to the core, and it is eating them away on the inside.

According to the latest reports on EvilAvatar.com and Joystiq, the plan is to let the $500 60 gig system run its course, which directly contradicts this news article.

"The 60GB PS3 will be available in North America for $499 until supplies of that unit are depleted. We have ample inventory to meet the immediate needs of consumers in this territory for several months to come. We won't be making any further announcements regarding our hardware offerings in the North America at this time."

In our opinion, it's a touch disingenuous for Sony to just now be bringing this information to light, even though Karraker goes on to insist that this is not a bait-and-switch. If that's the truth, why make it seem like the company was returning to a two-SKU strategy when that was clearly just temporary?

I don't believe anything Sony says any more since it is clear they blatantly lie.

Looks like Atari has abandoned the PSP in search of greener pastures such as the Wii.

Kamalot commented on First Palm Gandolf Photos I'd be downright SHOCKED if a version of this ever appeared running PalmOS. The screen on the demo unit is 4x3, fine for Windows Mobile but not for Palm devices which are typically square 320x320.

Having said that, it does not look bad, better looking than the typical Treo (which I own) and better looking than any blackberry.
