Klappstuhl commented on Why Do You Think Apple is Good or Evil? I don't like the cult following Apple. Steve Jobs always sets his conferences/presentations up in a way that feels to people like preaching. Like Religion.

And that's the problem.

There are still enough people in the US that are dumb enough to believe in the Bible. Or even dumber and believe in Scientology.

Steve is starting to market Apple not as an open source anymore, but as a religious experience. And all dumb idiots fall for it and buy his shit.

Also, As I already commented somwhere:

In the beginnig, Apple was a small company and Microsoft was the "big, evil OS".

Just like in Star Wars. First the Republic is on the good side, fighting the Trade Federation.

But then, they switch sides.

The Republic sets up a clone army and calls itself an Empire. And all of a sudden the Rebels are fighting against the Emperror and his Army of Stormtroopers. The Rebels are Microsoft now. And the evil Empire is Apple.

What I really hate about Apple though is how their shitty Software limits their own Technology, it's almost as if they intend to do so. A Powerbook with a Microsoft OS (Vista not included) on it can be configured to free all that processing power left untouched.

Apple's are shiny and their OS looks good, ok, but it's for Fucknuts who don't know jack-shit about PC's. It's an expensive toy, nothing else. You can upgrade a PC anytime you want. With Apple you literally throw away the PC and buy a new one.
