At work we have a 1997 laserdisc player/recorder. We took it off line about a year ago. We also have a Sony CRT from 1985 that still looks good and we use it everyday.

My Texas Instruments red LED digital watch from 1976. I don't use it on a regular basis, though. Just for nostalgia. I still use my Ohm speakers from 1982.

My Swiss Army Knife: Card Format. Slightly fatter than a credit card has an LED flashlight, 4 screwdrivers (slotted and phillips), knife, magnifying glass, a 3 in ruler, a metal toothpick and a pair of scissors. Fits in my wallet and I use it almost daily on the job and at home.

I believe that other MP3 makers can sync to AACs purchased through iTunes. Like the Zen. You don't use iTunes to sync, you use the Zen media manager, but I think it works.

The problem with this gadget and Alzheimer's is that the wearer needs to remember that what he/she is wearing is important and for his/her use. Patients with advanced Alzeimer's will, as you can guess, not wear the thing or not remember how to use it. My grandfather had Alzheimer's and this would never have worked for him. Maybe for people suffering from beginning or early stage Alzheimers.
