<![CDATA[sonburn commented on Apple Demands Recall of Every Psystar Mac Clone]]> I don't know where all the Apple hate comes from. Os X is their product. They own it. Surely they have a right to distribute it the way that they want to... even if that is in an overpriced white box with apple logo embossed on it. If you don't like it, don't buy it... especially illegally in the form of a hacked copy on some second rate machine. Use Windows, ubuntu, linux ... whatever you like,,, there are plenty of choices nobody as making anybody use apple products.

<![CDATA[sonburn commented on The Bible(s) Hits the iPhone]]> @johnnyabnormal:
Hey dude, I see your point too! I don't like it when Christians bash others to believe what we believe. Don't get me wrong. I'm passionate about my faith. But I thing there is a difference about being passionate about what I believe and being an ass about what I believe. I don't think my belief should make others feel any less valued for not sharing my faith. Do I believe in other faiths or even Atheism thinking... no, but so what! No two people are going to completely agree... Doesn't mean we can't get along and maintain healthy friendships despite not seeing eye to eye on those issues. If you don't mind I'm gonna add you to my friends right now... you sound like a good guy... thanks for the discussion.

]]>
<![CDATA[sonburn commented on The Bible(s) Hits the iPhone]]> @johnnyabnormal:
Also: What did you mean by "narrow-minded"? Because religion is FAR more illogical, dogmatic and narrow-minded than Atheism. That much is extremely obvious and very easy to prove.

I would hate for this to turn into a spiritual penis measuring contest. what you believe is illogical... no what you believe is illogical... no what you believe is illogical." I'm not trying to compare my belief to your non-belief. I'm not even saying you're a lesser person because of it. This site isn't the place for religious debate. In the words of D.R. and the supremes... RESPECT. That's what it's about man.

]]>
<![CDATA[sonburn commented on The Bible(s) Hits the iPhone]]> @johnnyabnormal:
By narrowminded I meant what I meant. Atheism states beyond doubt there is no God. I respect your right to believe that. I'm not asking you to censor yourself... just to realize that you share this planet with people who don't believe what you believe. Nobody is forcing you to not be an Atheist. Gold star good job. However is it necessary to be, basically just disrespectful because somebody else doesn't believe what you believe... You can say... "well christians were like that first..." However , it seems to me, a bit of a grade school approach to an argument. Be the bigger man. I am a Christian... and I'll be the first to say that Christians can be total pricks... we're broken messed up people. I am too... I've even held points of view and said stuff on this site that I was later embarrassed about. However being a prick is unique to me or or christians... it's a bit of a universal thing wouldn't you say. I respect your right not to believe what I believe in. So just as I respect you not to come into a non-religious site and try to bash you into believing what I believe, I ask you to try and not bash something that you don't believe in....and I'm not just talking about christians... muslims, hindus... whatever. I may not agree with what these other people believe, but I can still totally resect them as people. We I spoke of intellectual respect, I wasn't talking of a battle of wits, but basically the idea that it would take a smart man to realize no 2 people are going to completely agree so let's not unzip the preverbal pants and take a huge dump on something as sacred as a persons culture, background and religious views. All I was saying is let's respond to this like adults... sharing a planet... and in this case a website.

]]>
<![CDATA[sonburn commented on The Bible(s) Hits the iPhone]]> @johnnyabnormal:
Christians aren't perfect dude.... and every religion and non religious group has done those things. Not dismissing Christians who have done those things... they have and it's disgusting and in-excusable that they have. They should love others... but they're as screwed up and human as any atheist. Anyhow this isn't a christian site.... or a muslim site or a hindu site... it's a gadget site... with people from every religious background or non-religious background coming to read it's posts. Nobody comes here to have their religious views torn a part... let's all just practice a little intellectual respect for others.... ;0)

]]>
<![CDATA[sonburn commented on The Bible(s) Hits the iPhone]]> Wow... didn't know so many of you were so narrow minded. Nobodies holding a gun to anybody's head to either believe or download these apps. And yes there are many christians who are assholes who make the christian faith look retarded... but to be so disrespectful of that faith in total doesn't really make you any better than them.... and actually makes you look just as intolerant as the christians you despise. Sorry for the guilt trip... just think we can stick to speaking about gadgets and a little less about how much we hate people who are merely just different to us.

<![CDATA[sonburn commented on 10 Gadgety Reasons Why I Love America]]> @bbfreak:

No offense taken. The article was just in all light heartedness. Like I said before. I think the US is a great country. Although being the greatest all depends on where your own personal roots are. For me I think thank Canada is the greatest country..... somewhere there are a couple Billion Chinese people who feel their nation is the greatest. It's all about location ;0)

Just few points though... also just light hearted/ semi serious. Like the US there are areas that are more and less diverse in Canada. In my part of bc it feels like our largest population is East Indian and korean. Caucasians are a minority right in my area. There are parts that are very very diverse.

Concerning the article... There is definitely bias there. As an article written by somebody from the USA would be, however I don't believe the size of the population comes into play as it it is all about over-all percentages and statistics. So if the numbers were smaller. Say the USA had 10 people total and canada had 5. Out of the 10 americans 3 had a good standard of living, whereas in Canada 4 people had a good standard of living.... percentage ways Canada would be considered to have a better standard over all... regardless of the number of people in the country.

But... back to my original point. This wasn't meant as a feud starter ;0) I don't want America to do poorly. I want America's economy to turn around and to do well. We're pretty closely tied together and if you do poorly... sooner or later it will have great impact on our economy.

Happy fourth of July you wonderful football playing, burger eating, gadget loving, soaring eagle, flag waving, fireworks lighting people.

Heheheheh ROFL. Fortunately any relatives that I don't like live in South Africa... nothing like an ocean to keep those creeps at bay. Definately don't visit Winnipeg in Manitoba... it has been known on the rare occasion to hit -50c (-59F) and the snow is there allllll winter. That's freeze your face off cold. BC get's to about -11c (12.2 F) but the snow is usually not more than a couple of weeks in a single stretch. You're just starting to have enough of it and it dissapears.

WOW... just that... wow. That kinda goes beyond friendly banter. I mean I don't really like some of the politics that the US has been caught up in... that doesn't mean that there aren't millions of US citizens who don't also have the same hate for the current administration. They still however have a right to be proud of their country! No country is perfect.

<![CDATA[sonburn commented on Nintendo's Working on Improved Wii Storage? Maybe?]]> @praevalesco:
It's not about the saved games. it's about all the other cool stuff you could do with your wii if they added the extra space. Extra space could mean a video service... or just frankly more space for the new downloadable wii games that are now being distributed. Maybe I don't understand Nintendo's reasoning for not adding the extra storage, but to me it would make good business sense. They could sell a wii branded hard drive = $ If people had the storage they would buy more games = $ if they had the available storage new services could be created that people would pay for and that = more $.

You're right... saved games don't need that much space.... think outside the box.... it could be used for far more than saves.

I agree.. to an extent. Truly what is natural. Other than living naked in the wilderness? Everything we do all day pushes the limits of the natural. Even changes in available medication and changes in lifestyle over the centuries has swung the pendulum two and fro of our mortality rate. I don't know if this would be something I would take personally as I'm not even a fan of popping aspirin, however if it's at a reasonable expense and you would like to see what it's like to outlive your retirement savings then knock yourself out ;0)
