@atrus123: We were all super impressed at how good the Netflix recommendation winners are... which means you shouldn't be surprised if it's so good it could actually figure out to a decent degree the actual identity of a user.
I don't know of one single person with a Psystar system. Of course, I don't know the entire world population, but I can't imagine this company is making any money, fail or not.
I'm thinking this only applies to nooks that were purchased when the expected ship date was still before Christmas, since I haven't heard anything about this...
My goodness. At the beginning, I thought the author was a slack-jawed, cleaver-wielding, back country psychopath...and I guess I was right. But, boy, does he know about filmmaking and storytelling. I busted out in nods and chuckles at least a dozen times. And it made me wonder if Lucas will ever again create something as artful, heartfelt, and as genuine as Star Wars.
300 bucks for that crappy five minute movie? Those special effects were terribad.
Try 214.83 U.S. dollars (150 euros) and a pizza for the spectacular What's In The Box video--nine minuites of epic win

@Kimrod: i'm telling you.if i had someone recording what i'm talking about and all the things and like images that come into my head all day every day i would make 1 million and up
That front angle shot is cool, although it makes me think cockpit visibility would be terrible. Yes, it could probably split other yachts in two, and it is likely to do so because it can't see them.
Given the confusion, lack of information and overall shadiness about this process, I wouldn't be surprised if most customers don't receive the gift card email by the 23rd.
B&N's explanation? "We did send it out on the 23rd but any delays were caused by the delivery company so contact them...but we don't have a tracking number for you."
This was handled very poorly by B&N. There's no need for me to go into it at length but read their forums and see how they've flat out lied to customers.
@angelo_a: Yup. The Arclight in LA is like that too. Unfortunately it's much more expensive. I guess the higher price helps guarantee that people are there to ACTUALLY watch the movie and not just hang out...
@TomXP411: I had a 350MHz PowerMac G3 back in the day, and I could encode at something like 3.5x speed on iTunes. The slowest Macbook these days can convert 45 minutes of AAC audio to mp3 in 1 minute.
Funny how proportions work.
You put a helicopter on top of this thing and all of the sudden it does not look that big.
It almost looks like the helicopter would have to land on a dime.
@Molly Mahoney Matthews: That would be great IF the ushers did ANYTHING.
Movie theaters are so concerned about not losing business in this regard that they wont do anything. I've complained a couple times regarding extremely rude behavior. Only once has anyone actually tried to say anything to the offending party, and that guy caused such a scene (because he was a "regular paying customer just TRYING to enjoy himself") that HE got free tickets for another show.
Theater owners want to keep jackasses like that, then they lose me...
Are you guys freaking kidding? Iran is one of the few hostile countries that didn't have nukes until recently. We're just freaking out now since we wont be able to walk in a steal their oil. Every sovereign entity has a right to defend itself.
@Benguin: "Papyrus is often criticized by graphic designers and others for being overused or used incorrectly in various media. Interviewed in 2007, the typeface's creator, Chris Costello, agreed that Papyrus had become overused."
Actually having a vertical prow like that is more stable in small and medium seas. Rather than having to go up over every wave and rocking the ship the bow slices through them. In rough seas there is a danger of having waves wash over the deck more but as long as the ship has water tight upper decks it should be fine.
