Remember Daft Punk? The robots that pwned the music charts a few months ago with their more-poppy-than-usual new album? Thanks to Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington—collectively known as DARKSIDE—you can discover Random Access Memories all over again.
Actually, the original Daft Punk album is almost unrecognizable in this sea of minimal sounds. Like Jaar's solo work, the remixed album is pared down, slowed down, and almost cerebral at times. It's best enjoyed while driving on a remote highway in a late-1960s Mercedes convertible with the top down and the aurora borealis undulating above you. You know, just in case you get the chance to do that. [Thanks Ben!]
