20-Foot-Long Lego Battlecruiser Can Probably Sink Oil Tankers

This is a 20-foot-long Lego model of the HMS Hood, a Royal Navy battlecruiser built in 1920 and sunk by the German Kriegsmarine Battleship Bismarck in 1941. This stunning piece of brick engineering, built to minifig scale, has a robotized mast and is actually bigger than the 16.4-foot-long Lego U.S.S. Harry S. Truman. 460,000-Brick Lego Tower Breaks World Record

At 96.73 feet (29.485 meters) this Lego tower built in the Rathaus Platz in Vienna has broken the world record for the tallest Lego construction in the world. It took nearly 460,000 bricks and it was built over four days. The views from the top are quite stunning.

DIY Mini-Segway Shows Dean Kamen Isn't All That Clever

OK, OK... so Dean Kamen actually dreamed up the Segway in the first place and other amazing things, so he's pretty clever. But then so is the guy who's put together this Arduway out of an Arduino controller board and some Lego Mindstorms motors. It senses its position with a gyro, and balances pretty much like the real thing, only smaller. Maybe good for giving your pet mouse some 21st Century transport? Yankee Stadium Gets a Glorious Lego Send-Off

For die-hard Yankee's fans like myself, this has definitely been a year to forget. I think everyone would agree that the season itself was a total disaster, and I'm sure that there are a lot of people that are sad to see the old stadium go. Lego artist Sean Kenney is one of those people, which is why he and a Manhattan grade schooler spent three years building a 60" x 66" x 14" replica (1:150 scale) using 45,700 bricks. As you can see, the result of their efforts so far is impressive. When completed, the stadium will be populated with tons of miniature spectators and vendors. The Force is Tiny (and Incredibly Detailed) With This Amazing Lego Microscale Diorama

Lego microscale enthusiast RogueBantha has been busy. For the past year, he's been putting the finishing touches on this incredible battle scene between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, and over the weekend he placed the last brick. Now, Lego and Star Wars have been done before here at Gizmodo (the former being profiled dutifully by Jesus during his awesome trip), but the extra cool thing about this busy, incredibly detailed scene is that it's done in 1:200 microscale. That means there's tiny X-Wing's making their strafing runs against tiny AT-AT's; a bad ass monorail system; and even a massive transport ship—all captured using as few pieces as possible. More »
