Although the "upcoming" Zune music kiosk download feature seems obvious thanks to the player's Wi-Fi capabilities, being able to download music onto your iPod or iPhone on the go seems less obvious. However, 22Moo has just announced a date for their iPod- and iPhone-compatible internet kiosk station that lets you download movies, videos, games and music onto your player when you're on the go. The launch is planned for January '08 at CES and MacWorld. [iPhoneTower]

Maybe it's just me, but last I remember, iPods and iPhones can only be synced to one computer at a time. How would someone be able to purchase and load new music/movies to their device without wiping the rest of it at the same time?
I certainly home these things have indestructable, multiple dock connectors!
@RICHARDBA
While this is true with the Iphone (because of the lack of drag & drop), it's not true with an Ipod when you manually sync (via drag & drop)..
@richard8a: Only those who have their iPods set on auto sync. iPods set on manual should do just fine.
Neat idea, but other than allowing you to buy and listen to "Chinese Democracy" should that album happen to come out when you're on vacation in Cancun and thousands of miles away from your iTunes enabled computer, I'm not really seeing the great advantage to this thing.
@David Flores: I think it's just another idea to make life easier. I know it would be quite nice not having to be connected to a computer to download audio and video files. Taking the middle man out of the equation.
Ah, I stand corrected. Thanks for the info ;)
Hopefully this is a sign of a wifi iPod in the works. I certainly wouldn't want to plug mine into some public jack.
You can get cooties from those things, you know.
What a copy of a zune idea. I just hope Microsoft getts it out first. Plus who are 22Moo?
Coming February 2008: Kiosks with FUBAR'ed dock connectors that zorch your iDevice upon insertion. Sorry, if it has the potential to kill my device I ain't getting anywhere NEAR it. One wrong insert, a bent pin and POOF, buhbye iPod.
Do they know something we don't?
So what you guys are saying is that Microsoft is copying another Apple idea? Typical Microsoft.
