Remember the 4.1 million Dell battery recall? Well, these faulty batteries were made by Sony, meaning that Dell most likely was not the only laptop maker with unsafe batteries. Specifically, Apple, who had a similar battery exchange program for MacBook Pros sold from February to May of this year.

Channel News Asia says a spokeswoman from Apple said they were "looking into the issue", meaning that the trade-in program has a chance of being expanded to encompass more than just four months' worth of batteries.
