Thats pretty sweet! I remember seing a vid a while back of a plane a similiar size fly up, turn then crash spectacularly into the ground in a ball of flames! The best bit was the crash site was like a real crash site, only at a 1:3 scale!

Speaking of props, that guy might want to consider starting the engines from port to starboard rather than the other way 'round. That guy's going to lose a finger or two if he keeps starting the engines that way.

Maybe its the world's largest toy RC plane... The AF MQ-9 Reaper carries bombs that are heavier than this RC plane. The Reaper weighs in at 10,000lbs fully loaded and is definately remote controlled.

But this is pretty cool - because of its scale if it ever flew overhead I'd be so confused as to what I was seeing...

That's not an RC, it's a Cessna for goodness sake. I bet a small child could ride it. For heavens sake, don't make any fly-by's over an old persons home (espically in Europe). You'll give them flashbacks.

@buji: Yeah, you could call a UAV a really big RC plane, as well as other similar drone aircraft.

But I think this massive plane, built by hobbyists out of their own pockets, is much more impressive and unique than something made by the aerospace industry.
