The actual specs of the upcoming LG KE850 haven't been revealed yet, so we'll just have to make do with these screens and then wildly speculate. The KE850 appears to be completely based on a touchscreen interface, with send, end and confirm being the only "real" buttons. There's speculation that it might end up being a member of the Chocolate line of cellphones given its shape and color. So, those pics?

There's no release date yet for the KE850, so expect more, you know, news once LG gets its act together. Hopefully the touchscreen works a little better than some of LG's other touch-sensitive products.

That's kinda cool looking.
I used to own a Sony Clie TH55 that looked like it would have been a good platform for a phone.
This reminds me of it.
I would buy that in a second. Its thin, candybar, and gps on it would be a pleasure with the bigass screen
If it works, and they slicken up the interface a little, that's my next phone.
Hope it makes it to the U.S. If it takes long enough, I'll make it the "replacement" for my current chocolate - that's sweet.
I would not be surprised if that was similar to the form factor of the new iPhone. The hard buttons make sense to avoid the unintentional dialing of your mistress while out with the wife by accidentally brushing into the touch panel.
specs are a deal breaker for me :(
i'll eagerly await them though! :)
It looks very similar to my NEC n908- which to my ultimate surprise is still working (I was leary about the touchscreen)
Most likely going to be wayyyy out of my price rage. I guess when im done ogling I'll go back to my old V710 that now holds an astounding 2 hour charge...
I hope it has a dedicated "hold" switch. I feel like that thing would end up calling China from my pocket.
Hmmm, that does look pretty nice... Perhaps this is actually going to be the rumoured Prada phone?
Nice work LG. I love have been waiting for a full out touchscreen only phone. Slide out keyboard and quarty drive me nuts. I'm willing to bet the iPhone is very similar.
Trendspotter, just think of all the new friends you would make though...
having a name that starts with two A's, I get the unfortunate distinction of being the first to get a pocket dial or the always pleasant 3 a.m. drunk dial, so i am all for the lock switch like on my SE W600.
add Windows Mobile to this pretty beast, and you got me in.
I second Erzengel's motion:
Put WM5 and I buy one tomorrow.
THIS is what WM5 needs to look like. Not a Q or Blackjack.
LG go, go, go!
there's the NEC n908, a not-too-shabby-phone and it's not THAT expensive at 340 or so..
I like the look of this, but I think the screen would be full of smudges/fingerprints/scratches by the end of a week of heavy use..
That thing looks a lot like the Moto Ming, from the face-dominating touchscreen, the placement of the hardkeys below and along the sides, down to the main interface with the clock and four touch buttons. Screen, however, looks slightly longer, although perhaps that's an illusion resulting from the phone's rectangular shape. The corners are also a lot sharper, and it's noticeably thinner overall.
I'm intrigued. Those tabs running along the side (in the 2nd pic) are a really nice touch. I really hope that it's hiding a stylus somewhere in it's behind, which would be imperative for a touchscreen phone like this. I couldn't tell from the photo they have of it's back. I also like that the camera has flash, I wonder how many megapixels it's capable of?
Okay, if they throw in the ability to edit documents, I think I might start lusting after this bad boy!!!
Looks Good, but i wonder how it would hold up.
I would like to throw across the pond behind my house. I bet it would skip at least six times before it sank.
to everyone who suggested WM5:
I think LG is actually trying to make a good looking interface, and a usable phone. so no WM5 for you.
but yeah it could be the prada phone.
That's one sweet little phone. I'd like to get my hands on one.

Been around for a really long time.
Hope the touch screen can convert to a Qwerty keyboard too for texting and entering contact info etc.
Yes, but the Neonode is pure shittyness and pure plastic.
Looks like an iPhone to me, or rather the new device from Apple. Someone beat Steve Jobs to the punch. Again.
>> Someone beat Steve Jobs to the punch.
Of course that won't stop the iPhone beating the living crap out of the LG in terms of both sales and recognition.

Better camera, 3G, more accessible (i.e not controlled by iTunes) and unlikely to turn into a brick should you have the temerity to actually want to unlock a phone that you own and the sad thing is... your right.
The Kool-aid at Apple is strong...
