Now that the Prada phone is out, rumor has it that LG is planning another touchscreen cellphone. This time around the phone will be a clamshell with dual touchscreens (like this NTT DoCoMo phone). The touchscreens will function as one giant display, or they can act independently of one another, with the bottom screen acting as the control screen (kinda like the Nintendo DS).
Another cool feature is that the phone will have dynamic icons, meaning that the icons will move around when you tap on them, so you don't have to hit them dead-on all the time. No word on when we'll see the phone, but this one's looking even more intriguing than the Prada phone.

Is that a marmot?
I was wondering when others were going to jump on the selling machine that is the DS's tracks.
I was going to say, DS did it first!! YAY..more screens to scratch all to hell..
dyanmic icons - makes dialing while driving even more entertaining
Looks more like an otter to me:

If the wavy lines can be believed, it's a steaming pile of otter.
This is a great idea. Eventually, I'd like to see laptops that work like this. Imagine the versatility -- it could be used as a full-on multi-touch tablet, or made to work like conventional laptops, etc.
Is the beaver radiating heat from it's skull?
I'd be excited about this thing if it runs Windows Mobile.
@Music-Lawyer: Think of the 2 screen porn!!! Full body shots! Not only that but screens are easier to clean than keyboards!!!
Is that a guy stuck to a blackboard?
I wouldn't consider it a DS knockoff, unless they started making similar software for it. Dual screen systems were always considered in development with computer software, Nintendo was just the first to get there, since they were just making small 2.5" screens.
LG is trying some weird things to try to be the most innovative handset manufacturer for phone multimedia. Just the other day they announced they they are developing technology that would enable Mobile TV viewers to actually feel the action through a force-feedback system built into the phone.

Sounds like just a little tweak to the vibration mode of the phones.
Woo hoo! Finally, a phone that a lets you be both the striker and the netminder in soccer, play dress-up otter, view and perhaps interact with directory trees, and go bowling. You can make calls, but only if you hold the phone sideways, gangsta-style. Also there's some sort of stylus thingie for you to lose. This is going to be GREAT!! I can't wait.
You can't really compare this to a DS as its designed for an entirely different purpose. If you really want to compare it though, consider the fact that they're making both screens touch-capable on this phone.
blegh, give it three screens, two touch on the insides on on the outside, and a slide out keyboard and ill pay wtv for it.
Two touch screens and they still can't come up with a better game to cram on it than BOWLING??!?!
