Gizmodo Japan: Sony Ericsson W31S for AU

Released earlier this month, the new W31S from Sony Ericsson for AU is looking like a winner. Part of AU's WIN mobile-broadband series (2.4Mbps of connectivity goodness), it's a follow-up to last year's W21S — my current phone, and still a nice piece of hardware. On top of the camera upgrade (from 1.3 megapixels to 2), the biggest features seem to be music-related: it does FM radio, as well as play MP3, WAV, and WMA files — oh yeah, and Sony's silly ATRAC3 system. You load up your music on the Memory Stick Duo, which is turning into quite the popular storage format thanks to the popularity of the PSP. The phone itself feels great, sliding open with the flick of a switch, and featuring a camera-like back. It also comes with a mini-remote. I'm definitely considering upgrading to this.
