Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 Has Near-Undead Three Year Battery Life

Both the keyboard and mouse of the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 purportedly get a ridiculously hearty three years of battery life. Between that and its concave keyboard: that's some weird voodoo, Logitech. More »

Sony Overturns Blu-ray Line with Nicely Priced 3D-Ready BDP-S470 and BDP-S570

Sony got serious about home-theater Blu-ray at CES 2010, with a 3D, Wi-Fi, Netflix-powered monster with iPhone-app control. Sadly, the model we praised is now pointless. But two cheaper ones—the $200 BDP-S470 and the $250 BDP-S570—are suddenly hot. More »

AT&T to Deploy 4G LTE Network in 2011

LTE is exciting stuff (if you don't know what the heck LTE is, we have an explanation here). AT&T has just inked deals with Alcatel-Lucent and Ericsson, who supply AT&T's 3G equipment, solidifying 2011 as the year of 4G. More »

Sprint Pre and Pixi Getting WebOS 1.4 (Video Recording!) on Feb 15?

According to an alleged leak on PreCentral, Web OS 1.4, with the big new feature of video capture and editing, will be available February 15. The news comes from a Sprint technician, so Verizon's updates may not line up. [PreCentral]

Ugh. Cue another random bout of insomnia. I woke up this time and can't get my brain to stop thinking about work. So rather than think about work I figured I'd pop over to Giz.

What's odd is that work just got a lot less stressful and potentially a lot more interesting. I normally would think my inability to stop thinking about work would be because of the opposite happening. I find this somewhat worrisome...

@NorwoodIsMyHero: Hmmm.... could it be that you are actually excited about new opportunities at work?

Also, whenever work gets easy for me, or I don't get much exercise, I have trouble sleeping. I'm just not taxed enough.

So today while in my local Apple store a manager overheard me explaining some features of iPhoto to a stranger, and asked me I was interested in a job. They're currently hiring specialists.

I'd still have to apply, submit a resume, and all that good stuff... but I think I heard somewhere that when you work with Apple you're not allowed to post in forums, message boards, and stuff like this. Has anyone heard of this? Google has given me no solid answers.

@macpatrik: I'm sure that they have some reasonable policies about posting apple-related material while identifying yourself as an Apple employee. But as far as not being able to post whatsoever? Forget about it. That's a stretch.

A Screw-In Coffin is Clever and Economical

This screw-in coffin seems very economical, both in saving ground space and not having to have heavy equipment to lower your family members into the ground. Cemeteries have limited ground in meatspace, so putting people in edgewise just makes sense. More »
