Wi-Fi-enabled BlackBerry Curve Coming to AT&T on Sept. 23

In case you don't feel like waiting an extra month for a Wi-Fi-enabled BlackBerry, AT&T will release the titanium variant of the BlackBerry Curve 8320 on Tuesday, September 23. According to the people at BlackBerry News, the new Curve will run OS 4.5 and cost $200 on a 2-year contract, with a $100 mail-in rebate if you subscribe to a data plan. Sure, the Bold, which has GPS and 3G along with Wi-Fi, is coming in October, but it's also a good $200 more. [BlackBerry News]

Cowon's S9 Curve PMP Looks Exactly Like it Sounds it Should

Cowon's stealing a march on the imminent IFA show by teasing with some info on its new S9 PMP ahead of time: and you know, it's an attractive beastie. The S9 Curve looks to take its name quite literally, having sleek metallic-looking curved edges, and possibly even a curved rear-end if that photo's anything to go by. Inside the case we know there's a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen, capable of 16 million colors, a powerful-seeming 500 MHz CPU, T-DMB, Bluetooth connectivity, media player functions and an electronic dictionary app. It'll also run for 40 hours from just one charge, and has an accelerometer. Sprint '08-'09 Roadmap Leaked, Shows New Push-to-Talk Blackberry 8350i

Sprint's plans for the next 16 months or so hit the web today, and they pack news of a new BlackBerry, the 8350i. The stout new BB looks to be based on the Curve, with Wi-Fi and GPS along with Direct Connect push-to-talk support without a massive external antenna, which explains the portliness. Looks like a nice offering if your work requires you to be chirpin' at all times, but sadly it doesn't hit until Q4 2009. Sure, Will.I.Am's "One More Chance" video looks like it was directed by RIM, what with it's huge BlackBerry billboard and a prominently featured Curve. But you know what? Everyone's gotta eat, and when we insist on BitTorrenting albums instead of buying them, we should expect this from musicians. Along with Jay-Z shilling beer and Bob Dylan peddling panties, Will found a way to continue making music in a climate of slumping record sales, and it only cost a little piece of his soul. BlackBerry Curve 8320 Sunset Rises on T-Mobile Today

BlackBerry's Curve gets a "sunset" rust-color treatment, in the 8320 version available from T-Mobile from today. It's the standard 2-megapixel cam, Wi-Fi and quad-band phone, but in this case it's enabled for unlimited HotSpot Calling from T-Mobile hot-spots and Wi-Fi networks, including seamless hand-off to GSM if you leave the Wi-Fi signal area. It's at selected T-Mobile stores and online for $150 with a two-year contract. [BGR]

Leaked Sprint Roadmap Shows Palm Treo 800W, BlackBerry Curve And Possibly the HTC Touch Pro

Here's an alleged upcoming Sprint roadmap for Q3 2008 that shows several interesting phones and several lowbies. What you're probably looking forward to is the Palm Treo 800W and the BlackBerry Curve in red on July 13, but there's also the blue LG Rumor, MotoRAZR VE20, Sanyo Katana Eclipse, Samsung M320, Samsung M220, Moto Renegade V950, HTC MP6950 and Moto i365. The HTC MP6950 sticks out to us since the current HTC Touch is the MP6900, so this probably makes it the Touch Pro with slide-out keyboard. We'd definitely want one of those. [Sprint Users]

They said RIM's BlackBerry 9000 would be formally announced on the 12th. They said it would be called the Bold. Photos suggested that it would be the sexiest thing to come out of Canada since Sarah McLachlan's Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. And they wuz right. Boy Genius says it'll be available this summer on AT&T 3G, with a T-Mobile 3G edition in the wings—the handset can handle 850/1900/2100Mhz for HSDPA/UMTS, plus T-Mo's 1700MHz band.
