Dealzmodo: Buy 3 $15 iTunes Gift Cards, Get 1 Free

f_070401_itunescards_02.jpgSo, in other words, get $60 at the iTunes store for $45. Best Buy is currently running this promotion, and it could be good if you have a lot of gifts to give out soon (Easter baskets?) or it could be a good if you are a rabid iTunes shopper who wants a free $15 courtesy of Best Buy. Beatles fans need not apply, yet.

  • boo. for 30 bucks you can get 75+ songs from emusic, and all of them will be DRM-free. not just EMI's mainstream catalog.

  • too bad those won't work for the japanese itune store.

  • wait...is this in-store also or only online?

  • You can still buy entire albums for under 2 bucks and songs for less than $0.15 at AllofMP3.com. The RIAA wont burn a cross in your front yard either.

  • Looks like online only, but free shipping, so it doesn't really matter. I guess I'll try them out on the new DRM free EMI offerings once they're available.

  • Shame on you!
Gift cards and rebates are discounts for the stupid.

Giftcards: you give (prepay) vendor money and then you might use the card. Chances that the amount you spend is greater than the value of the card-- 100%

Yeah, good luck trying to find a way to buy credit on allofmp3.com. Visa and Mastercard cut off payments to them months ago.

  • I just bought my four for $45...if you don't buy on iTunes and prefer other sites, then obviously these aren't for you. But if you've got kids with iPods...have an iPod yourself...this is a good deal, except it's only one offer (one set of four) per customer ID.

  • Let's not forget that there are typically taxes on the sale of the gift cards. So if you're being charged 5 Cents on every dollar, you're going to pay taxes on the $45 you spent to get $60.

    That's $47.25.

Oh wait, you're going to get taxed again when Apple runs the card against your purchase. So if I try to spend close to 60, you're going to have to add taxes again to your total... I'm not even going to try and tell you how much you'll lose, but it will narrow your earnings on that $15 you got for free.

  • This is great for folks who buy video from the iTunes Store.
