Dealzmodo: Samsung Blu-Ray Player to Hit $149 on Black Friday

You might want to hold off on buying a Blu-ray player for a few weeks, because thankfully, finally, seriously, and almost too-latedly, Blu-ray players will soon drop into truly affordable territory. A source close to Ultimate Electronics has told us to expect the Samsung BD-P1500 — usually about $400 — for $149 on this particularly welcome and poignant Black Friday. Ultimate Electronics is a primarily Midwestern chain, but look to be offering this deal in cooperation with Samsung — in other words, it's probably not the only place you'll see stupidly cheap Blu-ray players come November 28th. -Thanks, Carmel and Matt!

Dealzmodo: Circuit City is Shipwrecked, but the Flotsam and Jetsam Have a Great Price-Match Guarantee

Circuit City's price guarantee was always a little wonky: the only prices they'd match were from local brick-and-mortar vendors, which excludes even their own online site. But sneaky tipster Kevin has caught wind that Circuit City, in the midst of crashing and/or burning, is due to accept any verifiable price, from any retailer, starting tomorrow. Even better, the prices in-store are going to match those of CC's online site, which means some serious price cuts in-store. There's always a silver lining, am I right? [- Thanks, Anonymous!]

Sharp 42-Inch 1080p Aquos for $900... at Dell

Yep, Dell, purveyors of computers and such, currently have the best price on a really decent Sharp Aquos, the 42" LC-42SB45U with 1080p resolution. It's $899, and shipping is free, though you will have to pay sales tax. By contrast, Amazon's starting price on this model is $972, and the shopping sites tend to list it anywhere from $1,000 to $1,300. We haven't reviewed this particular model, but we like Sharp. If you're in the market for a decent LCD—and are among the unique few in this country with some ready cash—I say have at it. The deal disapparates on Monday. [Dell]

Dealzmodo: Buy Vudu at Best Buy, Get $200 In Free Movies

If Vudu's new "insanely sharp" HDX downloads sounded exciting but you're bummed about the box's $295 price, heads up: If you buy a Vudu from Best Buy between now and 12/31, you get $200 off of your movie purchases. The box has no subscription but requires that you pay for each movie individually (to rent or own), so this is basically like getting the box itself for $95. Here are the catches: You have to use the credit in the first four months (easy); return Vudu after using up credits and they charge your account (oh well); and the credit doesn't cover any "midnight" movies from AVN. (NOOO! Way to ruin a good thing, o puritans of Best Buy!) [Vudu]

Dealzmodo: Xbox Live Vision Bundle At $49

Best Buy and Gamestop are discounting the remainder of their stock of Xbox Live Vision Bundles to $49 in order to clear them out for the new Chatpad Live Bundle that's coming soon. If you still don't have a camera for Xbox Live, this is a fantastic deal to get that, 12 months of Xbox Live, two XBLA games and 200 Microsoft points. Amazon used to have this bundle for about $55-$59ish, this es muy bueno. You'll need to roll down to your local BB or Gamestop to get in on the deal, so take a shower and put on some pants. Super Talent 128GB SSD Drops Solid State Price Like It's Hot

Sound the alarm for hard disks—it looks like solid state drive prices have plunged enough to finally jump out of early adopter territory. California-based flash memory maker Super Talent is now offering a 128GB SSD for $300 retail. That's $150 cheaper than a comparable offer from Dell and about $4.95 cheaper per GB than Intel's disks (though, granted, Intel's runs faster). More »
