Pizza Hut Japan's exclusive Double Roll pie is 646 calories per slice, with little bacon wrapped sausages littered across the crust, and mini hamburger patties on top of the mushrooms, soy beans, corn, paprika, garlic chips, green peppers, and pepperoni. As for cheese, it has mozzarella, cheddar and parmigiana. BTW, this comes with ketchup and maple syrup for extra flavor, and is recommended for kids.
(According to Lisa who just translated this ad.) This all reminds me of how dog sledders pack bars of butter for cross country trips, for high calorie counts in small, lightweight packages. Wash this down with a tub of lard for the ideal high impact geek meal inbetween WoW dungeon crawls, with minimum downtime. [The inimitable Plastic Bamboo]

O...M...G...
Thats it... I'm moving to Japan..
As a chef, my first thought is "Whoa, FAR OUT, I gotta try this..."
As a health conscious consumer, my first thought is "Whoa, death in two minutes."
I think the chef wins. Anyone wanna go with me to Japan?
I wonder if theres a low carb or 100 calorie version of that
oh my god that's disgusting... any japanese child raised on rice and fish would immediately die after eating that.
oh and also, soybeans and corn? WTF
i'm guessing japan might lose its global lead in health and long life if this keeps up..
What, no fish?
The best part is, I just got done reading that the Japanese have the world's longest life expectancy.

My colon exploded just looking at that!
Cut out the mushrooms and ketchup and we'll talk.
Also, TGI Fridays used to have a dish called Wall to Wall Chicken that had some ridiculous amount of calories - If anyone knows how many exactly, I'd like to know.
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!
Their death from cholesterol is inevideberrr
Yippie, my ass is going to get SOOOOOO BIG!
**heart beaaatttinng toooo ffffaasttt

*dies
It's missing the foi grois.
why don't they also include lard to dip this baby in
Do they deliver to Texas??
Are those human fingers?
Soooo hungry....
add mayo and peanut butter and I am so there!
The ketchup and syrup part actually made me grimace. I know mayo is popular, but is maple syrup a common pizza topping in Japan?
Oh Zune guy.. where are you..?
@Metaly: we are talking about a pizza that has hot dogs and HAMBURGERS as toppings..... I dont think they really care that they arnt even close to making a real pizza at that point.
Did this remind anyone of the "Taco Town" commercial/skit on Saturday Night Live?
Announcer: We take a crunchy, all-beef taco, smother it in nacho cheese, lettuce, tomato and our special southwestern sauce. Then we wrap it in a soft, flour tortilla with a layer of refried beans in-between...Then we wrap that in a savory corn tortilla with a middle layer of Monterey Jack cheese....And it gets even awesomer, when we take a deep-fried gordita shell, smear on a little of our special "guacamolito" sauce and wrap that around the outside....But it gets even bigger! Because we bake it in a corn husk filled with pico de gallo, then then wrap that in an authentic Parisian crepe, filled with egg, gruyere, merguez sausage and Portobello mushroom...we take the whole thing and wrap that in a Chicago style deep dish meat lovers pizza!
Andy: Pizza? Now that's what I call a taco!
Announcer: Well, it's not a Taco Town taco until we roll it up in a blueberry pancake, dip it in batter and deep-fry it until it's golden brown. Then we serve it in all commemorative tote bag filled with spicy vegetarian chili. It's 15 great tastes all rolled into one.
And to think, I just had sushi for lunch...
Whatever happened to the Japanese being the bastion of healthful eating?
Deep fry that entire monolith and serve me up a dollop of ranch!
Don't worry about it... if the amublence doesn't arrive in half an hour, your pizza is free.
@Metaly: The ketchup and maple syrup is a false alarm; it recommends putting it on the sausage and cheese rolls respectively, but there's no indication that it comes with it on there.
Just to think, I was under the impression that pizza, hamburger, hotdogs were three different food items. I didn't realize that you could have a pizza with hotdogs baked into the bun, topped with hambergers.
I wonder how many different food items you could combine into one incredible meal like this?
All I have to say is...
MadTV called this: [youtube.com]
Me so huuungry - me eat looong time
I think this has to be eaten in the hospital bed, you know, for the heart attack you're gonna get.
I could use one of these. I'm effing LOSING weight and I'm less than 50 kilos at present (110 lbs). Boyfriend keeps threatening to take me out and force-feed me ice-cream, but we're both on grad student salaries...
If I'm ever on death row, I'm asking for this as my last meal!

Try looking at Korean Pizza hut Pizza!! Shrimp deluxe!
Or Korean Mr. Pizza~!

This doesnt surprise me.. I was just in Tokyo and saw the McDonalds there is serving something called a "Mega Mac." That's a Big Mac with FOUR beef patties stedda the usual two. When they do junk food there, they don't play around.
That said, their Mister Donut chain is pretty awesome.
@techmuse:
Count me in.
Wow, that's the best thing I've ever seen.
@gonzo217: We've got that in Canada too. Simply called the Double Big Mac.
BRUTALLY SLAUGHTERED ANIMALS + NO USB PORTS =
NOT A FU@KING GADGET!!!!!
This stupid thing is taking up valuable Thanko space!
sign me up for five
Pizza Hut!!! If you know wats good for you. Bring this pizza HERE!!! Just for limited time only if you have to. COmbine this with Mountain Dew and a whole nite of Counter Strike. I can finally die in peace. Also Cocks!
Is it just me or does it look small?
I don't know whether to get this, or the 1,000 calorie Hardee's burger.
@Christan_Eff: Treehugger is down the hall, on your left. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I'm sorry, but that makes me want to barf. Yuk! Does Pizza Hut want to destroy Japan's reputation as a country with one of the best cuisines in the world, one that uses minimal ingrediants to make powerful dishes. This is not minimalism, but, it is guy food...
Direct competition for the KFC "Famous Bowls". They would sell a metric shiteload here in United States of the Dumb and Fat.
@axiom: At 646 cal. per slice, it's plenty big enough.
That is just insane. I honestly don't think it would sell that good here in the U.S.
OMG, further proof that Japan has the "good" drugs. Munchie heaven that is.
1. Why is it a "double roll"? I see lots of rolls.
2. Why is there a leaf icon on there?
3. Where is the pizza?
@Oneon1isto: I think the leaf is a maple leaf, perhaps promoting the maple syrup.
Is a normal slice of pizza like 300 calories?
Lol this thing has garlic and soybeans
The bacon is probably fried as is the sausage
What kind of gadget is this!?!!?!?!
Does it play MP3s!? Cuz I think you guys failed to mention it!
Okay fine, geek food. but..wtf! Slow news day FOREVER!
"Uh, yeah, I'm calling to order a Double Roll for a delivery? Yeah,
everything on it. No, don't leave off the corn. Can I get the maple
syrup on the side?
Hey, I almost forgot, can I also get a bottle of Diet Coke with that?"
What you are missing is that servings here are ridiculously small. This silly thing probably has 2 'slices' total.
Well given that their normal patty size is half what we get in America and that most Japanese hamburgers are no
