AMD next-gen chip has been delayed once again, according to the Inquirer. System integrators who expected deliveries of 2GHz and 2.3GHz Barcelonas in mid-August have been told to expect only the 1.9GHz version at launch this September. [Inquirer - Thanks Techluver]

  • Oh dear, another nail in the coffin for AMD?

  • Oh dear, not another delay? I don't think it's another nail in AMD's coffin; rather they are working to perfect the processors as best as possible. Remember these are the first real quad core X86 and not a stitch together dual dual core.

  • I seriously hope AMD bring their A game and gain back some of the greatness of their glory days. I want to see them kicking intels ass again as soon as possible.

  • AMD has been lagging behind, but I still always choose them over the 'compitition'. The way thier arcitecture is handled vs the FSB makes it much better to OC and customize. I look forward to real quad core processors.
