Who says Gizmodo doesn't appeal to women? According to the Gender Genie, a website/parlor game that claims to be able to tell the gender of the writer of any text you paste into its interface, we write like a bunch of girls. Well, most of us. Apparently, Travis, Lam and I (Charlie) are the only Gizmodians with any balls! Here's the breakdown:
Travis Hudson, text from this post:
Female Score: 82
Male Score: 284
Brian Lam, text from this post:
Female Score: 82
Male Score: 148
Charlie White, text from this post:
Female Score: 69
Male Score: 133
Noah Robischon, text from this post:
Female Score: 145
Male Score: 150
Jason Chen, text from this post:
Female Score: 185
Male Score: 130
Mark Wilson, text from this post:
Female Score: 155
Male Score: 109
Louis Ramirez, text from this post:
Female Score: 315
Male Score: 152
Adam Frucci, text from this post:
Female Score: 389
Male Score: 65
My esteemed colleagues have called for a recount, because of course very few of our posts are the full 500-word length recommended by the Gender Genie. But still, do we write like girlie men? We'll have to start reading more Hemingway.
