GPS For $250: Garmin eTrex Venture Cx

garmin_e_trex.jpgGarmin introduced the relatively cheap eTrex Venture Cx, a handheld GPS device with a color display and USB interface. Outdoorsy types will like its pocket-sized waterproof case and 32-hour battery life, and it weighs just 5.6 ounces with both of its AA alkaline batteries inside.

It's no slouch with the navigation features, either, with its built-in Americas base map and then turn-by-turn directions with its optional pre-programmed city navigator cards that fit into its microSD memory slot. Perhaps the biggest news of all is it does a lot of stuff for $249.99. It will be available this month.
