Easily the worst fad of the 90
s was the Tamagotchi. These little devices managed to annoy every single person on the planet except for the 8-14 age group and they have returned to do the same to a new generation. Over six million foreign units have been shipped already, meaning Tamagotchi Fever sung by Jessica Simpson to the tune of Pac Man Fever will soon be a Top 40 hit.
Part of the new popularity is due to the infrared capabilities of the new Tamagotchi that allow connection to other Tamagotchi s and mobile devices. These can also be swallowed and will survive for four months in the lower intestine without recharging.
