We've heard of getting a free ice cream scooper with the purchase of two boxer briefs, a free calculator with a pair of socks, and now you can get a couple of free Maxell batteries when you buy a bottle of Japanese grog, or as they call it, sake. Is this some kind of ancient samurai hangover cure?
C'mon, you're invited to send us a picture of the next Weird Combo of the Day!
Thanks, John!

Those batteries are used to power the breathalizer silly pigdogs. Why else would you see batteries and hard core liquor together.
that's a good brand of sake too...
At the Jewel grocery store in my hood you get a free pack of earbuds with each can of shaving cream purchased.
Battery powered sake? What will the Japanese think of next?
Maybe they're targeting the lonely girls.....
maybe it's a DIY battery kit?
mlehet- Those would be D cells, then...
Not if the device is supposed to be a model of a Japenese businessman
vinnygny - good one!
I was in India not to long ago and saw a pack of condoms that came with a free razor and a small pack of shaving cream
gizmodo guys, belive me, sucking batteries don't helps with hangovers. its just makes you want to throw up. yes i tried.
Maxell should use that as an anti duracell ad campaign.
"if it is to save a life or a free gift with sake, it just has to work"
A good combo I say in Ecuador was a rum and cola that was fit for storage-- it was a bottle of Rum and a Coke bottle shrink wrapped together.
*Not available in Boston.
vinnygny has received
+2 Humor
Like lemon slices in Coronas, maybe the batteries would give the sake an extra fizz.
*plop plop* *buzz buzz*
those batteries are for your DS after you get drunk....because nothing says fun like Mario and Alcoholism!
