You've got to love Nintendo's ability to seize the moment. They're announcing a "Lite" version of the DS (you know, for everyone who wants to reduce their daily caloric Electroplankton intake). It's less than two-thirds the size of the original, 20 percent lighter, and has a brighter screen. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced the redesigned DS in Japan, but forgot to tell anyone in the US (d'oh!)... Nintendo DS Lite will be available in Japan March 2 for $138—but that's converting from Yen. Details on the North American release are coming soon.
