Just how great is Linux? When you take into account that one intrepid guy played Quake 3 across 24 Linux-powered monitors, you too will soon be worshiping the penguin. The whole setup is driven by 12 Linux servers (that s two monitors per server) and runs the game at 10240x3072 resolution, pumping out 15-30 FPS. Minor graphic details like some lighting effects had to be sacrificed, but otherwise it s all systems go. How much user neck strain can be expected is still unknown.
