A shirt like this isn't nearly as damaging as some might think. Other than Harry dieing and coming back, all of those spoilers were things Poterfiles suspected all along. The really enjoyment was how the story handled them really.

The true shockers in the book were all the other characters that died. If you want to ruin the day for someone who has't read it yet, make a shirt that says "Hedwig, Moody, Dobby, George (or was it Fred?) Tonks, and Lupin all get killed"

Actually, I liked the last book a lot, and I wouldn't mind being spoiled that way. The spoilers by themselves doesn't make much sense, and you would want to read the book to see wtf is going on anyway, so I guess this will encourage more, not less sales.

@Bender: It was Fred; George lost an ear though. Oh and if you wanted to go down that route you would have to say Tonks and Lupin left behind a newborn baby immediately before dying in battle. Oh and Tonk's dad and others died too but was only mentioned in passing.

Almost forgot, one of the biggest spoilers of all: Harry, Hermoine and Ron break in to Gringotts to steal a horcrux from the LeStrange vault and escape on the back of a dragon. What's better than making people believe they know the ending, then they get to the end, and they had no clue.

Really, people don't mind knowing the end to a story, but for some reason we don't realize that. Romeo and Juliet was a huge success when it was first preformed, and every single person who saw it knew how it would end (it was a story before a play). No on went to see "Titanic" thinking the ship would just keep floating, or that the woman would die (gave it away at the start of the movie!)

All you fans of...well...anything know that its not the end that matters, but how you get there. Otherwise you would have taken the short cut and just looked at the end.

Its missing that Snape dies, other than that, great shirt.

rooftrellen: harry potter is a little different because rowling really took advantage of the "mystery" element of the books. especially in the second half of the series where she'd leave tiny clues in book 4 to set up some plotline in book 7. but you're right to some extent, even then, knowing the ending will ruin maybe 10% of your enjoyment of the book (assuming you like it).
