Altec Lansing M812: Eschewing Wires for Shocking Sound

Going wireless is the order of the day, and Altec Lansing severs that tether with the M812, a wireless speaker system that lets your iPod transmit its signal 100 feet. Put your iPod wherever you want, and then you can position the unit anywhere around the house. You can add up to four speakers and have music everywhere. Sure beats stringing wires inside walls for big bucks.

The fun doesn't stop with iPods, either. Its aux input lets you hook up any audio source, and if you get tired of all your music, it has FM radio, too. It's $399.95, quite a bit cheaper than hiring a contractor for whole-house audio.
