Normally we scoff at iPod docks—they're a penny a dozen and as original as a combover—but this one's different. The i-Classic iPod dock has removable wired speakers, faux vacuum tubes, a wireless remote, and seven different sized iPod adapters for your iPod. Better yet, there's AM/FM radio, microphone and line-in, S-Video out, and a wireless remote for lazy bloggers.
If you want an iPod dock that looks as good as your iPod, be ready to shell out $140 bones to grab this one for Xmas.

Sexy kinda, but might look weird if you've anything other than a red or black iPod, what with all the glowing and stuff.
Faux tubes??
Faux off.
i use real tubes

What would be wrong with the plain old white iPod? I think someone needs fashion sense (or a cure for colour blindness).
Why buy a $140 iPod doc with fake tubes when you can have the real thing for a mere $860 more?

i wonder how much of the cost of this thing goes to colorful fluff when it should go to quality speakers...
Faux tubes? WTF?
One of the dumbest things I've seen in a while. Someone that's looking for tubes is going to be interested in high quality. People that aren't interested in the sound quality isn't going to be looking for tubes.
Who puts tubes in front of the speakers?!
Maybe tubes look cool. I dunno. I use a tube headphone amp with my iPod at work and keep it out of sight.
i was like "$140!? holy crap!" ... then i saw the "faux". LAME.
There is nothing like the sweet sound of orange leds backlighting an audio tube. Behringer, anyone?
It's designed in a utilitarian style that screams cheap 3rd party iPod crap - like that hadn't been done before! It's falling between two stools here: Either make a wooden replica valve amp with iPod slot, or an actual valve amp where aesthetics don't matter at all (because they will be bought by audiophiles)
Garbage.
Another I-pod dock. Stop it.
There's a nice tube amp with iPod dock out there - Vuum or something. Cost was $800-ish, but it was all shiny chrome plated stuff and remote control. Had even a tube with a phosphor screen on it that did level display.
Yikes. Why buy a FAKE tube amp when you can have a real one, hand built, with point to point wiring, single ended pentode design, hand wound transformers, in a choice of 6 colors, and with a 16 bit DAC USB for connecting to your computer?
The GLOW Audi Amp One is the ultimate computer/iPod hifi, and it is under $500.
