Now this is one pretty speaker. The Modal Water Speaker, designed by Kunihiro Tsuji, is supposed to represent the human body's composition of 70% water. Whatever, dude, it looks pretty sweet. How it sounds is another matter entirely, but we'll give ol' Tsuji the benefit of the doubt on that one.
Look for this at Milan's design week, that is if you're going to be there rather than reading blogs in your underpants. Hit the jump for a giant pic.

Modal Water Speakers [MoCo Loco]

uh, sure, but does it sound like the human body too? i mean, most people sound mediocre at best, so i don't think it's a very good role-model for a speaker.
Now a saxaphone, piano, electric guitar, or violin- those are nearly 0% water and quite often sound great.
wow cool, now if i just toss all my furniture i'll have somewhere to put these bigass reactor-lookin things.
on second thought, how bout puttin in some big fish, and watchin them ROCK OUT MAN!
That's an awesome looking speaker. It's a conversation piece, no matter how it sounds.
@borg - good one man (the second one to be exact). I laughed so hard, I woke up the dog.
willyolio,
What do you mean by "most people sound..."
Are you talking about voice, belching, clapping, farting or arm-pit sounds?
