Too cheap to spring for art, but found the money for a 42" Plasma? Get the Art Plasma Vol. 2 DVD and turn your giant entertainment screen into an electronic masterpiece. Impress both your fancy-pants and regular-pants friends by showing that you too have high class taste.
Downsides: Leaving your TV on all the time is going to use a lot of electricity. Plasma is notorious for burn in, even now, so unless you want a Degas imprint when you're trying to watch Vega$, this may not be a good idea.
