TiVo Beta Pics

Nice. So we knew TiVo was going to get smarter, but a partnership with Yahoo, Fandango, and Live365 radio seem like it's getting really smart. Not much change in the UI, but the feature set is nice and rich. Expect this new magic in early 2006.

  • Looks a lot like Galleon to me... At the rate Galleon is releasing new features this Yahoo "improvement" will be obsolete before it is even released...

  • Galleon is nice, but requires you to have your computer constantly on and have available resources. Side note: The above beta information is protected by an NDA according to the e-mail I recieved.

  • Im getting desperate, im about ready to buy a hacked tivo just so i can get the experience. Can they please, please, please release tivo in australia. I got no problem paying for it, if only it was available.

  • I think that TiVo is a brilliant little device that's completely worth the $12/month I pay for it. The fact that for me to develop a similar piece of hardware would cost more than $500 makes it a no-brainer, really. And TiVo's new feature sets just make me happy. About damn time.

  • Home Media Option? Nope. Tivo2Go? Nope. Tivo on Yahoo! TV? Nope. Ah yes, yet another Tivo enhancement that won't be available to DirecTV users. Thanks Rupert...

  • TiVo is trying thier darndest to show that the TiVo box is more than just a DVR. I already use the Home Media Option, and have been playing with the HME stuff. Lots of fun.
