Think touch-screen phones are cool? A designer at Hong-ik University in South Korea has designed a cell phone concept that turns your grimy hand into a mobile. The idea is pretty simple. Put a special strap around your hand and a beam from the strap projects a virtual keypad onto your fingers, so your hand becomes the keypad. Each joint makes up a different button and the strap itself would have a circular LCD to show you who's calling. Sure, you'd look retarded texting from your hand, but if it worked for Inspector Gadget and won an iF Concept Product Award, who am I to judge.

I suggest they switch to a different color display. The red makes it look like the user likes to cut themselves.
I hate to be one of those guys, but I've seen this, here, not so long ago.
Oh right:

January 16. Just keepin you on your feet, Giz.
Having a strap that sticks out so far from your wrist looks really stupid and awkward and breakable. A glove would be better, especially with this appallingly cold weather. Thin fabric ones for indoors.
No, that's not herpes on my hand. It's my phone. Really!
Wouldn't the size of your hand have something to do with the numbers/characters on the phone?? I can see not being able to reach certain numbers/characters because I have really stubby fingers?
Go go gadget...hello?
Nice Insp. Gadget pic. Is that a screen cap from a C64?
I can't understand how it looks, but it doesn't seem to me to be a great idea
A bluetooth headset would be a necessity with this phone.
I would not do the Inspector Gadget hand-thing to talk.
