If Joker fetishist Mark Wilson had his way, the movie would be called Joker Begins: With Some Batman. He can take his purple mascara and his dumb purple car and shove it, because Batman and his Bat Motorcycle (the Batpod) is where it's at.
Taken on the set of the new movie, this Batman motorcycle is to regular motorcycles as the Batmobile in the first movie was to, say, a Toyota Camry. Plus, I think those things on the front are guns. Yep, this baby has guns like the Batmobile. What is that wetness we're feeling? Urine or saliva? It's both!

Looks like the Tomahawk with a paintjorb and maybe the four wheels fused into two. Plus guns of course.
I want a riding lawn mower that looks like that... no, really.
Apparently, the engines are in each tire and there's a bit o' transforming going on for it to go closer to the ground. Fully practical vehicle. And by "practical" I mean "it works in real-life" movie lingo...not..."Honey, I have to go to the store to get some milk. I'll be right back."
The picture of him on it almost looks like a kid sitting on a Big Wheels (with big guns).
It had better do some cool tricks else it's gonna be lamers.
why is it that all of batman's new vehicles allow him to go parallel to the ground? I'm not complaining....just wondering.
WOW! Looks like a 2 wheeled version of the ride in Batman Begins.
Yeah, prob. has an electric motor for each wheel, tucked into the hub. Or, it runs on dreams, which is what my imaginary Koenigsegg runs on.
If that thing has an ipod dock I'm sold. Oh and if there selling it of course.
More like semen and saliva why would you wet yourself? Its not like this is the guy that beat you up in highschool
You folks need to pull some strings...
RIDEMODO!
I hope those guns are some type of energy weapon created by Lucius Fox because I don't see much room for ammunition. But who am I kidding, since when did Hollywood guns have the limitation of carrying their own ammunition. I just hoped that this Batman series would avoid the temptations of previous Batmans series (and many others such as James Bond) which completely left reality behind for more and more far-fetched technological plot elements and gadgets.
There is no windshield. He is totally going to get bugs in his face.
/wait, don't bats eat bugs?
Hey, you can even play checkers on the tread pattern.
Looks like something Exile would sell. Maybe Russell reads the Giz and will build a production kit?
Come on Fanboys!...
Who's going to be the first one to ask if it has a dock?
...so what happens when the bat-cape gets snagged by the open back tire? Ouch.
I know the new bat-armor is supposed to be kickass, and it even lets him turn his head for the first time, but...will it protect him from what many who ride motorcycles consider one of the worst-case scenarios for a solo crash?
At least Bruce Wayne probably has really good health insurance.
Whaaaaaat? Batman has a new movie? It better be as good as Batman Begins :D
HOLY SHIT BALLS.
Those tires would never corner at all. You would have to go in a straight line forever. It would be easier to ride a chopper with an extreme rake.
I might be behind in the times but has anyone seen this site?

click the bat. I guess Two Face will be in this one.
You guys saw the first movie, right? Batman is kind of against killing people in this series. So, clearly two huge machine guns on the sides of his bike are necessary. I think the director forgot to have a chat with the designers. Or he's just taking a paycheck and doesn't give a damn.
I dunno...in batcycle2.jpg batman looks like he's sort of squatting to stay on. yek
that wetness is neither saliva nor urine.
duh
Oh noes!!!!!11!!1 not that type of man juice
:O
yuk...
"Batman is kind of against killing people in this series. So, clearly two huge machine guns on the sides of his bike are necessary"
Of course, but lets think of it this way..what if the Joker stole the batmobile? He would need those then, wouldn't he?
That is the only time Batman uses heavy artillery, when he had to take something HUGE down(i.e not humans)
Yeah, I never really thought about it, but the whole thing with Batman's vehicles having guns in the recent movies does seem kind of out of character. At least in the comics, Batman as a character is written as being completely averse to guns (any time someone pulls one on him he goes batsh*t insane - sorry, couldn't resist - and he doesn't seem to even be willing to carry one). I guess I can buy the idea that he doesn't shoot people with the guns on these vehicles, only uses them on inanimate objects, but even so, it does seem kind of odd.
"Where does he get those wonderful toys?"
Superman complex.
Maybe they are not guns, maybe they are bat-tering rams, or possibly bat-tery chargers, or even bat-ton for gay Robin to use... of course they can also be the latest in teledildonics with a super V-8 powering them too.
You fools! Those are high-intensity headlights. Right below there, you got the fog lamps. And above those 2 are the harpoon guns. :P
The only thing missing are the NOZZZ tanks and some neon underground lights. Then this would make one fassssst and furrrrious batman.
@aec, someone above you posted what you wanted.
The cape!!! Look out Batman, your cape!!

I hope they have a contest to give the extras away.
Soo...if he's thirsty, he'll just have to ride in the rain.

"Batman is kind of against killing people in this series."
True enough (though he doesn't seem to mind leaving people to certain self inflicted doom), but in the very early years of the Batman comic, he DID use guns. As he grew in skill as a detective and prowess as a fighter and tactician he began eschewing them, partly because a gun had been used to murder his parents, and partly because he could get the job done without one.
Keep in mind too that batman originated in an era before Industrial Light and Magic. The rules were different back then. Using wits and skill to overcome a 'stronger' foe or foes could still make a man BAD@$$ enough to be worth reading about. Nowadays he that hath the largest BOOM/FLASH wins the day...
As for the batcycle...meh. I'd take Kanedas bike any day over this (the laser rifle too). As for the guns on it, they could be 3 - 6 round revolvers with small cannon shells (maybe .50 cal or 20mm) or maybe grenades. But I think they're more likely anti-vehicle tasers.
I was pleasently surprised by Batman Begins, so I'll probably go see this next film when it drops and find out then for sure with the rest of ya'll :)
I mainly just come here when friends send me links, but I like the topics definitly. Been a movie geek all my life, and sci-fi in particular. ALso had quite the avid comic collection when i was little. Hulk and Spiderman were my favorites, but I read Batman and Xmen as well.
All I really wanted to address were all the questions about those turrets on the front of the Motorcycle. most are saying this is against the grain of batman's psyche becasue he typically doesn't kill people. However, I just wanted to point out that the bat mobile had some sort of weapon on the front of it that was used to remove obsatacles like the wall of the parking garage and the support for the section of the train tracks Gordon takes out at the end of the first film. These guns could be some sort of barrier remover as well.
The batmobile had weapons on it too, to both knock out a hole in the parking garage wall and to remove the support beam for the train tracks. Perhaps these are some sort of barrier remobal as well.
First the bike would be able to turn, as the steering is on the thinner tire in back, it actually looks to be based on a zero turn system, i doubt handling on the thing would be any good.
as for the guns i'd say they are more likely a tazer system. it's Real tech, and wouldn't need an ammo box, the charge could be created by the motor and/or static electricity.
as for the movie, hell yeah ill be there.
one of the greateast lines in a movie of all time
Thug: "I swear to god"
Batman: "swear to me"
Where's Kamen Rider when you need him?
@Kokei
I'm going to guess you've never riden a motorcycle before, because there is no way a zero turn system would work at anything more than a walking speed. (Here is a hint: You dont turn the handlebars to the left to turn left)
Filed under: Concept Cars, Gadgets, Spy Photos, Etc.Most fans of the Dark Knight appreciated the overall tone of the latest film to feature Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, Batman.
I Wonder if his ears fold back when he goes into 'hi speed mode' hahaha, but looking for a motor, I would say not very powerfull (unless there is a mini Rotary motor in the rear wheel)...
He seems to have borrowed Judge Dredd's.
Those aren't guns...they're the kickstands.
