Holy crapola! It is double bamboo Thursday! If that bamboo LCD didn't fit your fancy, maybe this laptop will. The Asus EcoBook is a laptop set for release in 2008. It supposedly communicates Asus' eco-friendly message by being covered in beautiful bamboo. Man, I bet those koala pandas are getting pumped today!

Well, the bamboo LCD was fugly. That laptop is gorgeous!
I actually like the look of bamboo when it is tastfully done. The lid on this laptop is actually quite nice (unlike those plastic woodgrain covers that Dell was selling a few years back)
But that bamboo TV was just plain ugly
sexy... i want one.
Increase in production will drive down bamboo population,
when panda cannot find bamboo they will turn to other sources of food,
koalas fear the worst!
lol glad u fixed that, koalas eat eucalyptus leaves not bamboo :D
I really is beautiful, and I like the idea of a huge trackpad which you can use like a Wacom tablet. But what is with the MacBook-like single mouse button?
Oops! I mean "It" really is beautiful.
Obviously, "I" am beautiful too, but I am also rather humble about my sheer gorgeousness, so I don't usually mention it.
@ZSX:
I was wondering the same thing about the mouse button. The only turn of I have regarding its design (unless it has some sort of a newfangled rocker button that emulates two buttons depending on what side your press - still not aa good option, but better than nothing)
Looks great! I can't wait until it comes out.
It is great to see companies go through the effort to make products more environmentally sound. I was half-expecting to see something that looked with a wicker chair, but this is nice.
Csodálatos. Wonderful. :))))
Seems like every year somebody makes something cool out of bamboo: bicycles, snowboards, laptops, or a thousand other things. But the most common apps we see are slightly more mundane--flooring and cutting boards.
