When only the best and most outrageously-equipped laptop will do, check out the Microworks Vega with a 20.1 inch screen and the latest AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 CPU. Besides its absurdly large screen, you can equip it with just about anything available on notebooks, including a Blu-ray burner, EV-DO, GPS, a TV tuner, a couple of hard drives totaling 600GB of storage, and connectivity to just about everything except HDMI.
The base configuration doesn't give you much of a sticker shock at $3599, but if you load it with everything under the sun, you'll be $7800 poorer. Looks like a great laptop, but just don't try using it on an airplane unless you're sitting in First Class.

The little laptop keyboard looks a bit silly in the middle of that big slab.. Why not put a full size one in?!
I'm pretty sure those that can afford an 8,000 dollar laptop have the means to get a 1st or business class seat :P
Looking at the keyboard it includes a separate 10 key so it's actually quite a bit larger than you standard notebook KB gives you an idea of how massive this thing is. But I do agree you have the extra room why not space the 10 key and the arrow keys a bit farther from the qwerty section and make them standard sizes.
WTF? my brother just got a HP DV9033cl for like 1400 and even that thing has HDMI, cheap &astards!
this thing is good for someone who wants a big screen, but has very little room for a pc
though, this thing is NOT a laptop, i say.
