Incandescent Lamps Will Never Be As Cute As These AnimaLamps There are countless reasons to upgrade the incandescent bulbs in your home to fluorescents or LEDs, but none more compelling than these adorable AnimaLamps. Saving the planet by reading with an improperly proportioned giraffe? I'm sold!

The $30 portable bunny, giraffe, and monkey LED lamps are battery-powered so they can be perched anywhere. And they feature a touch-sensitive brightness control for reading in the dark, or use as a subtle nightlight.

Battery life is promised at 8 to 12 hours, depending on how bright you crank it, and the LEDs of course always remain cool to the touch, making these particularly ideal and safe for little ones. [AnimaLamps]
