Japanese toy firm Gakken has brought out a light-up version of the Tokyo Tower for you to build. And if you don't fancy having a 3'4" red and white version of Godzilla's favorite phallic object owning a piece of your floor, then you can always turn the waffle-shaped bricks into three other things:
A hot-air balloon, bridge or skyscraper, although none of these are quite as fabulous as an illuminated Tokyo landmark. It costs 7,875 , which is around $65. [Gakken Toys via Kilian-Nakamura]

I like the bridge gun.
Does it shoot trains? Maybe it's a rail gun!

Seriously, LEGO rules!
You lost me at ¥7875 - A ¥2000 price point seems better. Then it wouldn't matter as it's passed around the pub and worn by expats as a hat during New Year festivities. (See you soon Geronimo Shot Bar)
seems the price is huge for this collection of blocks, and also, I heard Japanese apartments are super tiny, why would anyone want to clutter their floor with this junk.
Well, I guess, when you're big in Japan....Gizmodo has to write about you.
I thought that was Thunderbird 3 for a moment there.
I'd rather see it in Lego.
